You can contact South Molton Acoustic using our contact form, via our Facebook page, or in person at one of our events.Our sessions are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, 12-2pm, at The Coaching Inn, Queen Street, South Molton, EX36 3BJ.Data we collect
South Molton Acoustic Sessions collects your email address and name only if you provide us with this information. Photos and videos are taken of our performers at events, but only if prior permission is granted by the performer. We also take an audio recording of each event. Audio recordings are synced with video footage to create a video of your set. If we do not have your permission to share photos and videos, we will not share your audio recordings either.Your name and email is stored on our sign up sheet and also in our email account if you have emailed us or requested an email from us.Our sign-up sheet also includes an opt-in for performers to give permission to be part of our Christmas Tree at the annual Christmas Tree festival. We require you to actively opt-in and we will ask you on the day of your performance.How do we use the data and how long is it stored?
We store images digitally for 28 days to create a “thank you” post after each session. This post will be shared on Instagram, Facebook and on our website. We also store videos and audio recordings for 28 days in order to create performance videos for each act. Once these are complete, we will delete the files. Any “outtakes” are stored for a compilation video towards the end of the year. If you do not wish us to use or store your outtakes, please let us know. We will contact anyone featured in the outttakes prior to uploading.We upload the video and photos to our website and social media platforms, which are currently YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. We use the images and videos to give online thanks to our performers and to share our event with our community. We use the footage and photos to promote the musicians, their music, and our live music sessions.We use your email only to contact you regarding your performance or to occassionally share information about other local music events.We will not sell or share your data with anyone else unless required by law to do so.We do not use cookies to collect information about our website visitors and we do not use any kind of website analytics to collect data.Christmas tree opt-in
If you have opted-in to the South Molton Acoustic Christmas tree, we also store one image of each performer until after the Christmas Tree Festival at the end of the calender year. The images are stored digitally on an offline device and also printed. In November, they will be displayed on our Christmas tree at the festival in St Mary Magdeline Church, South Molton.How to opt-out and delete your data
We will not take photos or video without your prior permission. You can request we delete your contact information, photos or videos at any time. We will delete your information as soon as possible after receiveing a request from you to do so.
You can also withdraw permission for your photos and videos to be shared online and we will remove them as soon as possible from our website and social media platforms.There is always some risk sharing photos and videos on the internet. We take all reasonable precautions to keep data safe and secure whilst it is in our possession, but we cannot be held responsible for your data once it has been uploaded to the internet. We are not responsible for other people's online shares or screen shots, nor are we responsible for other people's photos or videos from any of our events.Questions?
